Cool Alaska images

A few nice Alaska images I found:

Nick Baker gets up close and personal with a mighty grizzly bear as it fishes for salmon just a few metres away. Amazing footage from the BBC Deep into the Wild series. Below that age a custody judge will take your wishes into account, but is not bound by them.

The age of majority in Alaska is 18 but if your father wants you to live with him he can file in court and get a court order any judge will listen to your request and allow you at 15 to move in with your father, verbal abuse is child abuse the same as physical abuse.~

    I live in Alaska.

You are old enough to make this decision now. You have been old enough to do this since you were 12.

After a child has reached their 10th birthday and gets older – the court will weigh your opinion for custody more and more. Most minors in Alaska that have a reason to choose on parent over the other will be allowed to change custody to the parent of choice.

You and your parent of choice need to discuss this with a judge who has juristiction. Simply visit the court clerks office and tell them what you want to do. Best if the judge from the original divorce decree is still on the bench – ask for him. You could pay a lawyer to smooth the way for you – but – or legal system was not designed, or require, anyone wanting help from the court to automatically pay big $ $ for a lawyer.

Technically, what you describe is consider verbal abuse. You and your dad could ask the court for a domestic violence restraing order. This could give you 45 days of living with your other parent – but – you also run the risk of the state taking custody of you – you become a foster child and bumped from one house to another. It could backfire on you and you end up at neither parents home – unless you dad is 100% qualified to accept custody in the courts eyes.

    Hope this helps
