Trinity is an aspiring model I had the pleasure of shooting with in November 2008 in Anchorage, Alaska. This was my first shoot with Trinity and also my first experience with Strobist lighting – I really liked both; I’d love to get better with Strobist and also do more shooting with Trinity.

One of my co-workers asked me to take some photos of princesses participating in a local Philippine cultural event so we did. Ginger was one of the people there, in Anchorage, Alaska in April 2010, so I had a chance to shoot with her after the group shoot. She was an absolute sweetheart – and very busy with college – hopefully I’ll have the chance to shoot with her in the very near future – she’s incredibly photogenic.

Celebrity Millennium parked in front of the Infinity in Ketchikan Alaska. Since the ships are virtually identical on the ourside, special announcements were made reminding passengers to get on the right ship.

A typical encounter at the side of the road in Alaska. We came across this wonderful black bear nosing around in the dandelions. I took 150 photographs of him from inside the bedroom of the RV we’d hired. At the last minute he looked up at us in the van and I caught him…

My friend Lady Battikah (Anna) organized this American Gothique fashion show at Mad Myrna’s in Anchorage, Alaska in early May 2009. She described it as Techno Gothic and invited me to photograph it. I did so with some trepidation since I had no idea what I was getting myself into – but it was a blast. From what I can tell, Techno Gothic equates to Gothic with loud colors and attachments such as gas masks. I learn something new every day!
